On March 3, we will have a group activity to the famous Great Barrier Reef, one of the seven wonders of the world. There is something to do for swimmers and non-swimmers alike!

We start the day with a chartered cruise to a permanent pontoon on a reef at the very edge of Australia’s Continental Shelf to an underwater world that is a dazzling kaleidoscope of color and brilliance.

For water lovers, you may swim, snorkel or dive (all equipment and suits will be provided). If you prefer something more leisurely, there’s a scenic helicopter flights, a semi-submersible vessel to see coral and fish or simply relax in the shade or under the sun. A delicious lunch will be provided as well as snacks and beverages.

On Tuesday, March 5, you and your guest will have a choice of one of the following:

Australian Seafood BBQ Cooking Class (half day)

Sydney Seafood School was created by the Sydney Fish Market to promote the wide variety of Australian seafood available in New South Wales and to share their knowledge of cooking fresh Australian seafood. At this class, you will learn the art of Australian BBQ which will feature products that are regularly auctioned at Sydney Fish Market. For lunch, you will be dining what you’ll be making!

Blue Mountains Experience (full day)

Discover the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains during a real journey into the heart of
this unique region.

The first stop on the tour is Sydney Zoo where you’ll have the opportunity to feed kangaroos and have a koala experience.

Afterwards, you’ll be driven through picturesque villages where you will enjoy spectacular views and waterfalls on the drive to the Blue Mountains. Enjoy short walks to lookout points and hear about the unique Australian forest species. You will have a delicious lunch at a restaurant with magnificent valley views. The afternoon is then spent visiting a selection of
scenic lookouts.

The last stop is the delightful Mt. Tomah Botanic Gardens to take in the sweeping views before traveling back to the hotel.

Note: There are some uneven stairs and/or steps to a few of the lookout points. Also, Mt. Tomah Botanic Gardens also has steps and inclines. However, it is not necessary to use the stairs and can enjoy the views from easy-to-access areas.

BridgeClimb (half day)

If you are seeking excitement, the best view in town and a special feeling of
achievement, then you should sign up for an exhilarant climb of one of Sydney’s most
famous landmarks!

During this adventure you will ascend to the top of the Bridge and stand over 426 feet above sea level. Not only is the view breathtaking, but you will also have a close encounter with one of Sydney’s historical gems and an engineering wonder of the world. The harness is linked to a static line that keeps you within safe areas of the bridge at all times. There are also handrails for support on most parts of the climb.

For women less than 24 weeks pregnant, you can do the climb with a signed certificate of fitness from your doctor; for women over 24 weeks pregnant, unfortunately you will be unable to participate.

Wine Tastings at Hunter Valley (full day)

One hundred eighty years young, this is Australia’s oldest and best-known wine region and is soaked in history. It’s a dynamic and fascinating area that brims with over 150 top class wineries, 65 indulgent restaurants as well as gourmet produce and boutique breweries.

Your experience starts at Audrey Wilkinson, one of the most historic and beautiful properties in the Hunter Valley, known for its stunning views and pristine vineyards. It was the first vineyard planted in Pokolbin, in 1866 and here you will enjoy an informative wine tasting accompanied by local cheese boards.

Your second stop is for wine lovers where you will be spoiled for choice at the Ben Ean Cellar Doo, which hosts a range of wines including Petersons Wines, Savannah Estate, and more. After a relaxing wine tasting you adjourn to the delightful Baumé Restaurant to enjoy a chef’s selection of pizza, pasta & salad for the whole table to enjoy.
