FAQ
Which meals are covered?
All meals are hosted by Sentinel and are a combination of hosted group meals and Australian dollars for meals on own (to be distributed onsite.)
Will there be any additional personal expenses during the trip?
Sentinel hosts will take care of most of the anticipated expenses, such as meals and activities included within the agenda. Any personal incidental expenses, such as telephone calls, movies, additional food and beverage, business center charges, any non-complimentary hotel amenities, additional spa charges, non-hosted activities, and gratuities associated with these services, are your responsibility. You may pay for these services at the time they are rendered or charge them to your personal incidental account. Please be sure to stop by the front desk prior to your departure to settle your incidental account. Visa, MasterCard, and American Express credit cards are accepted.
Should I tip drivers, bellman, tour guides, etc.?
Most gratuities will be covered by Sentinel. However, you may choose to provide extra gratuities if you wish. Please note that Australia isn’t a ‘tipping’ country; it is not required nor expected.
Will there be internet access at the hotels?
Complimentary wireless internet is available in your guestroom at each hotel.
Who can assist me if I have questions?
Please contact the Sentinel Success Summit Travel Team at [email protected] or at (303) 996-6152, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, MST.
What is appropriate attire?
Port Douglas: It will be warm as Port Douglas is located in Tropical Far North Queensland. Shirts, shorts and t-shirts are the go-to because that’s what the weather calls for. Don’t forget your bathing suit! Pack a light water-proof jacket in case there’s some rain. For the Agent Meeting, you may dress casually for this.
Sydney: Although you’ll still enjoy great weather, Sydney won’t be as warm as Port Douglas but very comfortable. Shorts and t-shirts are fine but you may want to pack a pair of slacks or jeans. Sydney tends to be more dressy in the evening but nothing too fancy: slacks and a polo or button-down shirt for men, and a simple skirt and blouse for ladies is fine. Avoid torn jeans, tank tops and extremely casual attire for dinner. For the Awards Dinner, we ask that ladies wear a dress pantsuit or cocktail dress, and for the men, a button-down shirt with a sports coat.
What else should I pack?
A hat, sunglasses, insect repellent and sunscreen.
Who do I contact if I have questions during my stay?
A Sentinel Hospitality Desk with event staff will be available throughout the program. Specific Hospitality Desk location and hours will be outlined in the program information you will receive prior to your departure.
